ESTABLISHING EVERLASTING PATTERNS

 TO BREAK A PATTERN IS TO ESTABLISH ANOTHER. A space will not exist in vacuum. Ordinances uphold patterns, just as settings uphold workings; and all of these are towards a purpose i.e the reason for the pattern. A phone's operating system is set so as to function in a certain way. Certain ordinances are set for certain patterns to manifest. The ordinances of the sun produces heat and light patterns. The ordinances of harmattan reduces heat despite the hotness of the sun. When you deeply ponder this issue of ordinances and patterns, you'll come to the realization that there are many levels to it. But all the routes lead back to just one truth: Proverbs 21 : 30, which says

There is no wisdom or understanding or counsel against the Lord.

For no matter how strong a piece of furniture is, it is not stronger than the floor upon which it is placed. And no matter how strong the floor is, it is only strong on the basis of the strength of the foundation upon which it is laid. But the strength of a house's foundation cannot comprehend the strength of the fixedness of the earth itself. Meanwhile this whole earth (and the heavens) was founded on the word of God (GENESIS 1 : 1). So you see that though there are levels to this issue of establishing of patterns, the word of God is the highest level, and also the deepest level (Alpha - Omega). Have you not read in 1Peter 1 : 25 that the word of the Lord endures forever? Or haven't you read in 2Peter 1 : 3 that His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life?

The moment the knowledge of God becomes the light with which you see the way to live your life, then you'll begin to see how God has placed ordinances in His word. These ordinances create patterns in the lives of those who wholeheartedly and truthfully believe and do His word. These victorious and godly patterns override any and every other patterns in the world that do not support the production and excellence of God in you. 

1John 4 : 4; You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Inside God's word, there exists the ordinance of prayer, the ordinance of speech, the ordinance of behaviour, all the big and little things that spirit forces hack to enforce negative patterns in a person's life. So you see that the word of God is very adequately potent to handle and break patterns that don't align with His will in every person's lives.

Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. And the first ordinance that wisdom will deliver to you is the ordinance of a strong discipline. For without discipline, you'll be formless -- unable to hold shape -- thereby rendering God's help fruitless. By discipline, you continue in prayer. By discipline, you continue in right behaviour. If you've entered a breakthrough before, it is by discipline that you retain and carry on in the victory of that breakthrough. By wisdom, you'll establish everlasting patterns for every area of your life. But you must consciously keep yourself qualified and tamed for this victorious way of living. When, by the Presence and authority of God, you establish a desirable pattern in your life and family, no conflicting pattern will manifest.
